CoastJet is registered by the New South Wales Government Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board to deliver the Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence) AVI40108.
A general qualification for commercial aeroplane pilots. This qualification has been structured to align with applicable aviation licensing and regulatory requirements.
Note: additional requirements must be fulfilled in line with the current Civil Aviation Safety Regulations before a licence will be issued. These requirements include theory tests, flying hours and a flight test.
Job Description
Employees operate aeroplanes that transport people, cargo and mail. The pilot is responsible for the safety of passengers, crew and cargo. Pilot work may also include cargo, survey, charter, spotter, agricultural work. Often, those flying smaller charters are responsible for loading and unloading passengers and cargo.
