MULTI ENGINE PIFR

This rating is basically designed to allow a pilot to climb and descend visually, and to be rated to fly above a lowest safe altitude in cloud on private operations only.

You can add on components, called Flight Procedural Authorisations (FPA's) which permit you to conduct NDB and VOR approaches etc.

Once all FPA's are obtained, the rating is the rough equivalent of a Private Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating. Depending on your requirements, it is often our advise to conduct a full Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating instead.
