NIGHT VFR RATING (NVFR)

Night VFR ratings are pre-requisite for Command Instrument Ratings Night pilot training with experienced professionals

The holder of this rating is permitted to fly under Night Visual Flight Rules (NVFR) anywhere in Australia with passengers, and is in part a pre-requisite for a Command Instrument Rating.

The course is a minimum of 10 hours, involving circuits and navigational exercises. The rating starts with 2 hours in the synthetic trainer to develop an understanding of the use of navigational aids and instrument flight, prior to the aircraft training.

The time period required is 1-2 weeks weather permitting.
